With the ‘Beraber - Together‘ project , the Otto Benecke Stiftung e.V. is contributing to the long-term prevention of radicalisation at a local level.
The main aim of the ‘Beraber - Together‘ project is to clarify and manifest diversity and thereby work proactively against the influence of autocratic and anti-democratic ideologies. To achieve this, forums to discuss the causes of, backgrounds to, and options to prevent, radicalisation should be established and introduced into existing advisory and support services. Participants receive additional training to become mentors, who as role models positively influence those around them.
The encouragement of girls and young women to enjoy social opportunities helps to prevent extremist positions.
The project has its own homepage here: www.beraber-gemeinsam.de
The project is located in and in cooperation with Dinslaken.
Funding bodies
The pilot project ‘Beraber – Together’ is funded by the Bundesministerium für Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend (BMFSFJ) (Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth) as part of the government ‘Live Democracy!’ program, and by the city of Dinslaken.
